Nakshatravanam
Nakshatravanam – Divyaramam

Since olden days, we have been performing the worship of the five elements according to the Hindu traditions. Everything is generated from the mother earth, grown with water and the nutrients in the soil and destroyed with fire and finally disappears into the thin air. The sky is testimony to the truth that it is the outer form of Lord Siva. Among the three species that come out of the Earth are the rare “Star Trees “. This is the invaluable asset handed down to us by the rishis of yore. Among the 27 stars under which a man or woman takes birth, there are some good and bad planets. A person with a defective star must pour two metal pots (Bindelu in Telugu) of water for the respective tree and worship it according to tradition. The devotee must stand before the tree connected to his/her nakshatra and chant respective nakshatra mantram for removal of the defect for peace and happiness. Everyone must consider it his or her duty to plant a tree that gives shade, fruits and flowers in the temple precincts and the compounds of their houses for relief of mind-related problems and for physical and psychological health. Trees remove pollution; give fresh air, flowers and fruits also. The leaves take in CO2 (Carbon di oxide) and leave out Oxygen. Leaves of dearer to God are planted in temples; they are known as Garden Temples (Vanaalayams) and Divyaramams. The specialities of their construction were explained in the scriptures. One who plants and takes care of Aswattha ( Peepal ), Nimba (lemon), Nyagodha (banyan), Ten amlika trees ( tamarind), Kapittha ( Wooden apple), Three each of Bilva ( Aegie Marmaloa ) and Amalaka ( Emblic Myrobalan), Nine amral ( Mango) Trees will surely reach heaven. Such a place is Called “Aramam”. Saivakshetram is a Divya Siddha Aramam, where along with these exclusive trees, 27 Star trees, Zodiacal Trees and those belonging to nine individual planets are available. They spread fresh air, shade and their leaves, flowers and fruits are useful to men, birds and animals. Those suffering from the ill effects of planets must sit under the shade of the respective tree; perform the nakshatra japam, Sahasranama Japam of One’s dear deity or mantra initiated by a Guru. Then the Carbon dioxide left by the individual will be absorbed by the tree and fresh Oxygen will be release by it. Breathing in the Oxygen will provide good health, the planetary defect will disappear and grace will ensure. Even breathing in and out under the respective tree will offer the grace of the planet.
